I have used a few hosts over the years as a webmaster, but none have been as bad as iPowerWeb.
Firstly, I must say that their hosting is great. My sites were always up and they loaded quickly. However, its the support that is the problem. I have never had to repeat myself so many times as I did with iPowerWeb. A few years ago I sold one of my sites and the hosting was transferred over to the new owner. iPowerWeb were cool with this. They got the job done and everything was sweet. It wasnt until that the hosting had to be renewed. iPowerWeb sent me an email stating they were about to charge my card again for the hosting. Of course, I freak out and send an email straight back stating that the hosting was switched to a new owner.
iPowerWeb have no information regarding this even though they organised the switch earlier in the year. So, I had to go through it all again with them and the new owner had to get involved too. We were both sending faxes and emails to iPowerWeb. In the end it was all good. The new owner kept his site up and iPowerWeb never charged me for the hosting.
It gets worse. One year later, I get a phone call in the middle of the night. Im in Australia and the guy who bought my site was in Canada. He rings to tell me that the site has vanished from the web. Im not sure why this is my problem, but anyway I help out.
Turns out iPowerWeb tried to charge my card again for hosting and failed, so they took the site down. Why my card? Who knows! They never updated their systems from a year ago when we went through this problem. Now, the site is down for this poor guy, and iPowerWeb are asking for faxes and emails to verify the switch to a new owner. By this time I was really pissed.
Again, iPowerWeb are wasting my time, the new owners time and their own staff time by making us go through all of this again.

As I said, the hosting was fantastic with iPowerWeb, its just the backend support which sucks. Now I use LunarPages for all of my hosting.
