Most people in the web hosting industry which have been around for at least back in 2001 recall a time when iPowerweb was a major brand and one of the strongest web hosting marketing brands on the internet. iPowerweb had many advances in the industry, and one of those included their own proprietary web hosting control panel called vDeck.

vDeck was developed completely internally by the developers at iPowerweb and as far as we have seen it has been used almost exclusively by the iPowerweb web hosting family of web hosting sites including Startlogic, Dot5Hosting and the iPowerweb resellers of which BlueFish Hosting is probably the largest.

This control panel is very easy to use and while it has some bugs in the beginning stages, most of those issues have been ironed out in the two upgrades since the inception of vDeck 1.0. One of the greatest advantages to the iPowerweb group is that people who have used the iPowerweb web site builder iPage cannot move their site to another host as is, they would have to recreate the site using some other web site builder program, and all of those people who use vdeck and like the interface and who may not like all of the features of any of the iPowerweb web hosting company cannot find vDeck at any other web host.

If you are looking for a good, easy to use interface vDeck is one to consider, however remember that moving from vDeck may be a struggle if you use their web site builder to make your site.
