New Server

Well, tonight I took the plunge and signed up for a $9.95 per month hosting account with HostGator. I’ve heard good things about them and frankly, I want to be able to update some of my sites’ pages without having to jump through hoops. My previous host (who I am still moving stuff off of), when you uploaded a new page, you had to view the page in Firefox, view the page source, hit F5, and then refresh the page or the changes did not appear. What.The.Hell? That is not the way a server should work, and if it is working that way it should be checked and repaired. Duh.

So far, the sites I’ve managed to move over here are: Charity Lynn, Cherry Ice, Where There’s Smoke…, Bloody-Kisses.Org, & Basically Geeky. I’m still working on Gothic Peach, Got-Wicca.Org, my friend Annie’s blog and wrestling column, and LaShawn’s Mango Dreams site. I also have Swanton Rant over here on the new server, but there’s not actually anything except an installation of Joomla 1.5 on it, so I can learn to work Joomla. I also need to move Twisted Mayhem. I’m hoping to do a new layout for T-M.Net when I move it over here as well. Sunday needs to get here quickly so I can have some freakin’ time to do this stuff! LOL

I also want to try and get some more smiley sets made for Cherry Ice as well as more WordPress themes for download on Cherry Ice. I’m also trying to learn to code MySpace and Blogger layouts so I can offer those as well. Good grief I have a lot to do and not that much freakin’ time to do it in.

And now, I must be off to bed, because I also have a job to go to in the morning. *sigh*
