Introducing Network Solutions : The company that started by providing domain name registration service has now become much more of a full service company helping small businesses realize their full potential through a variety of web-related services. Their motto is “Help Small Businesses Succeed Online”. Boy , I could have used these guys a while back when I was trying to get a small business going online. Oh well, you live and learn.

Anyway, Network Solutions is no fly-by-night company, having been in business themselves for over 30 years. And they are owned by General Atlantic which specializes in growing companies on a world-wide scale. A list of what they offer would include : domain name registration (7 million and counting so far), Web site design, Web site hosting ( more than 350,000 Web sites so far), solutions, online security products, and search engine marketing and optimization. They promise to really “care for, guide, and serve the small business customer at every stage of their growth and development”.

Hmmm….. you don’t hear that very often. From my experience, these services usually get your money and then leave you pretty much in the cold. Well, these guys must be doing something right because their customer support center has been named a J.D. Power and “Associates Certified Call Center, providing “An Outstanding Customer Service Experience.” By the way, they are looking for sharp tech-savvy people who would be interested in network solutions careers.
So , if you’re looking to start a small business with an online presence or you already have a business that you would like to grow and take beyond your local borders, take a serious look at Network Solutions.
