New service seems wildly overpriced. Am I missing something?
I just read ’s October sales letter (not really a newsletter as they call it), and read the fine print on the 20% off $75 coupon it offered. One of the exclusions is for “CashParking Custom Header“. Curious, I visited GoDaddy web site to learn more.
GoDaddy will create a custom header for your parked domain. Price? $99.
Am I missing something here? GoDaddy is the only parking service I know of that charges you to park. This could actually be worth your money if you buy the higher payout service. But $99 to put a custom header on your parked page? You can buy custom headers for web sites for much less than that. I suspect very few people parking domain names GoDaddy earn even $99 per year with any one parked domain.
Add to that the fact that these headers look no better than many of the category templates at most domain parking companies, and I really have to wonder what is going on here.
