Ping.FM has managed to get the problem with their domain resolved! This is exciting, because Ping.FM is a great service, and if you haven’t checked it out you should do it now!
From Ping.FM:
As of 11:40PM CDT, our infamous domain issues have been resolved. Why did this happen? Well, since our site was down, we couldn’t blog and tell you about it. So, we used other forms of communication to get the word out as to WHY this happened and WHEN it would be fixed.
Big GoDaddy for escalating our issue and getting this resolved as soon as possible. Keep in mind that some elements of this problem were out of their control and we both had to wait for the .FM vendors to turn around and make some headway on this problem. They were very professional and helpful and the office of the President called us to let us know that they are personally responding to this issue to get it fixed ASAP.
So, there you have it. We’re back in action and we apologize sincerely for any delays in your pinging addictions! We are in light of brand new information that will help avoid any similar situation as this in the future, so you can expect it to NEVER happen again.
Outside of this stint of randomness, we have a whole boatload of awesome features rolling out very soon. We did want to push them earlier, but as you can see, our hands were tied!
