You may bounce over this section if you already understand what are these terms mean. In spite of the confusing terminology, they all come back to the same description.

Referring to domain alias / parking / pointing device, iphonereview.com would be exactly the same as aboutiphone.com. Both domains are eventually link to the same site. The nickname itself is not new content, it is merely a reproduction of the main Web site.
In regards of add-on domains, iphonereview.com and aboutiphone.com are 2 totally different places. This is how we explain iphonereview.com could be a Web page for in reviewing the features or some flawness of iphone, while aboutiphone.com is a Web page promoting and selling iphone to the market. Your Web host plainly creates a subdirectory in your main account for the add-on domain and the add-on site will share the allocated resources (disk space, bandwidth, MySQL …) on your main Web site. Through this way, you do not have to pay for hosting account, if you want to host for another site.
“Multiple domains” refers to add-on domains, but be conscious that many of the Web hosts are really on domain-pointer. Thus, the words “multiple domains” alone is a misleading one. But as the future of Web-hosting would be “multiple hosting”, the phrase means slow to develop add-on
