Moodle is a well known open-source course management system. It is easy to install on HostMonster hosting. Just download the latest Moodle scripts and launch the setup script on HostMonster hosting.
These indicate that Moodle scripts requires the following requirement:
* Moodle version 1.6 or higher: the PHP4 (version 4.3.0 or higher) or PHP5 (version 5.1.0 or higher) are supported.
* Moodle 1.8 or higher, MySQL (version 4.1.12 or higher)
* PHP.ini configuration and .htaccess adjustment.
Moodle installation cannot be done through HostMonster simple scripts or HostMonster Fantastico, you must manually install the Moodle.
At the beginning of the Moodle installation on HostMonster, start with uploading the unzipped scripts to the server. Then, create a new MySQL database for your new website. Go to yoursite.com and install.php URL and begin the script installation. Next, you need to enter some of the necessary information. Once you are finished, the config.php is with all the data / settings which previously have entered. Moodle setup on HostMonster is now complete, that’s easy.
